The business was started back in the early 1980s by my parents, Larry and Susan Pinkham.  Mom and dad mainly bought and shucked clams for the wholesale business. In the summertime mom would pick crab meat to sell.

During this time, I was embarking on my career as a commercial fisherman - 25 plus years ranging from the gulf of Maine to the Bering Sea Fisheries in Alaska.

In 2008 my mother became ill and passed away in 2009. My dad decided to retire and I decided to take over the business and expand it. I worked at expanding the wholesale markets. I began selling to more restaurants including Cabbage Island clam bakes. I decided to add a small fish case and a lobster tank to sell fresh fish and live lobster.  My step-son Nicholas began working with me on weekends and after school. I began to build a clientele and wanted to be closer to the main road. I moved the retail business from the River Road location to Road Rt. 27 in Boothbay. Word got out quickly and I had to hire more employees. The building soon became way to small for the business I was doing.

In the winter of 2017 opportunity knocked and the construction began on a brand new building just down the road in Boothbay Harbor. In the summer of 2018 we moved into our new location and my wife Cathy traded in her healthcare career to join me and my crew at the store. We expanded the seafood options, added a butcher shop, sandwich shop, groceries, beer and wine.

As our business continues to grow, we will strive towards carrying the absolute best seafood and quality meats in the region!
